This is an example of how I applied my photo-illustration-montage abilities to the sports arena.
I was commissioned to create this historic commemorative montage illustration by the
Ohio State University golf club.
The rich history of the
courses is depicted
in this information panel.
The distinguished gentleman on the top left corner of the composition is Dr. Alister MacKenzie, the original golf course architect who designed Scarlet Course. There are two 18-hole courses; the Gray Course, and the Scarlet Course, which is the collegiate layout.
In the top right-hand corner of the composition are two images of Jack Nicklaus, who in 2006 provided the architectural expertise and guidance in the restoration of the Scarlet Course venture.
Dr. McAllister also appears in the bottom right of the montage. I faded his original drawing of the golf course layout into the background to give it give the composition the feeling of agedness and tradition.
Near his portrait in the upper left corner two letters appear, which are communication from Dr. MacKenzie to the Ohio State University describing his intended course design.
Brass engraving commemorates
the 2006 Scarlet Renovation project.
